Welcome to Heatwave Tattoo! Your safety, comfort, and satisfaction are our top priorities. Please review our shop policies before booking your appointment.

Consent & Release

All clients must complete and sign a consent and release form before any tattoo or piercing procedure.
By signing, you acknowledge that you are choosing to receive a tattoo or piercing at your own risk and release Heatwave Tattoo and its artists from liability related to the procedure.
Our artists are not medical professionals. Any suggestions or advice provided by staff are not substitutes for professional medical advice.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to receive a tattoo or piercing at Heatwave Tattoo. Valid government-issued photo ID is required at your appointment.

Health & Safety

We use sterile, single-use needles and equipment for every procedure, and maintain strict hygiene standards at all times.
Our workstations and tools are disinfected after each client, and all surfaces are kept clean and sanitized.
Artists wear gloves and protective gear during procedures and dispose of them after each use.
If you are feeling unwell, under the influence, or appear to be underage, we will not proceed with your appointment.

Client Health Questionnaire

Before your procedure, you will be asked about:

Hepatitis, jaundice, or other communicable diseases
Fainting tendencies or diabetes
Bleeding disorders or use of blood thinners
Heart conditions or high blood pressure
Allergies (please list any known allergies)
Recent alcohol or food consumption
Use of anticoagulants (aspirin, ibuprofen, etc.)
Pregnancy
Any other conditions that might affect healing

Answering “yes” to any questions does not automatically disqualify you, but helps us ensure your safety.

Permanent Body Modifications

Tattoos and piercings are permanent. No claims are made about the possibility of reversing these changes.

Aftercare

You will receive written and verbal aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is essential for proper healing, which can take several weeks.
